MERDEKA AND WHAT IT MEANS TO ME

MERDEKA AND WHAT IT MEANS TO ME

On this 31st August 2008 we are celebrates for the 51st Merdeka Day. What this day means to you or what this word in your head? Feel free or enjoy your holiday as much as you can. For me, it is a day that I need to be remembered as long as I live in this world. This would not exist if our soldiers just sit and sleep. That it means they do something that we not do. They have safe our life. Do you know what will happen to you if we are still in world war? Do not know right. I also do not know if I still alive or not.
‘Merdeka’ or independence means we can do anything what we want to do as it can make our country develop as like as industries countries. We can do anything does not mean we should follow everything that American’s people done. But many of us that we can say as stupid men do as like as that American do especially Malay’s youngster. They follow gothic and black metal, and then they leave their prophet’s advice. Where they put heir mind and morality? What their mums and dad do at home? Is it their time just for their work? Or what? If these occur continuously without prevention from any people it will make our country back to the 100 years ago. Do not know what should we do, just follow our head ask to us. Come on everybody. Wake up, open your eyes and open your mind. Think out of the box. Is it our country is still in our hand for the 50 years later? We do not know all of these. Now, we are given the chance to choose our own way so choose it. But you need to remember choose only the right way which that can help you in the future and your country.
Nowadays, Malaysia need a ratio of at least 60 researchers, scientist and engineers to every 100 000 people to achieve Vision 2020. Higher Education Department director-general said ‘Students who are studying overseas need to come back and serve the country to reach the critical mass of such experts’ at the Putra World Trade Centre, 24thAugust 2008. But many of them want to stay in the foreign country. They give reason to further study or just to prolong the cultural experience there. Is it true? Or they just want get a great payment when they work at there. For me, if I given to choose where I want to do my job, I will choose Malaysia. Because of what? Because this is my country. Without this independence country, I cannot feel this life. This also show us thanks to our first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj who strive to get independence for us. For our students just take it ease and the importance for them only. If we have the brilliant mind, we should strive together to fight the enemies. This is because enemies not only come in physical form but also in mental form.
After that, merdeka also mean we should not follow any one else that we think bring the wrong way of understanding like black metal, heavy metal and so on. Our minister should do their job properly to prevent the income of this mental enemy. Other country’s minister have cut the sold of war game that can play in play station (PS) set but our do not do so. I think our minister is more educate than other country but it is wrong at all. How can we build a great country if our heads cannot be the role model to the countrymen? One year ago we are surprised with Najib’s cases, and then this year with Anwar’s cases. Next, both of them do the election at Permatang Pauh. Because of them and Beijing Olympics we are overshadow from festive mood leading up to the merdeka celebrations.
As a conclusion, all races need to cooperate and do the job with follow prophet’s advice. Independence for the 50 years later cannot be achieved if we all do our work own selves.
